Tritech (Qingdao) membrane industry Co. Ltd. Ground Breaking Ceremony

On 17 June 2010, Tritech (Qingdao) membrane industry Co. Ltd, a wholly owned subsidy of Tritech Group Limited, has held its ground breaking ceremony This indicates that the commencement of the construction of the factory in Qingdao Jiaonan, China.

The local government officers including Mayors, and honored guests from Chengdu, Jinan, Beijing have attended the ceremony. They have wished Tritech a big success in this investment.

In addition, the article highlights the company's focus on public sector projects and mentions last week's water quality monitoring and services contract, as well as the recent warrants issue and last year's share placement for development of the water business as part of Tritech's longer term diversification plans.

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Huang Mingzhi has joined us as Director and Head of Survey Division of Tritech Engineering and Testing Pte Ltd.

Dr Huang Mingzhi graduated at Tongji University and Wuhan Technical University of Surveying and Mapping in China, majoring Land Surveying and Geographical Information Systems (GIS). Currently, he is a member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS, UK), a member of the Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers (SISV), and also a Registered Surveyor of Singapore.
 

Since 1996, he had worked under two companies of Land Surveying, as senior surveyor, and Singapore Power Ltd, as project manager of Gas Mapping System developed for PowerGas Ltd. He founded Nanyang Surveying and Systems since 2006, supplying survey services especially Automatic Trainway Monitoring Systems (ATMS) in Singapore. Until joining Tritech Engineering & Testing (Singapore) Pte Ltd, he has successfully engaged in 6 ATMS projects consisting 12 set of automated total stations, in addition to other land survey projects.
 

We believe that Dr. Mingzhi will contribute much more to the growth of Tritech in coming years.

Tritech Group Limited celebrated a memorable Annual Dinner 2010 at  Swissotel Merchant Court Hotel  last February 3. The "Spring Festival" themed event was very meaningful because it was also commemorating the TEN YEARS of GROWTH of Tritech.  We are pleased to announce that Ms Chew Saw Tin has joined us as the Associate of Civil and Structural Division of Tritech Consultants Pte Ltd.

 Ms Chew is a Professional Engineer (Civil), who has over 20 years of working experiences in the construction industry and a full skill of design, construction supervision, project management and contract administration. She has managed various kinds of local and overseas projects including major civil infrastructural works, high-rise buildings, wharves and jetties, etc. She is a Specialist in Coast Engineering.

 We believe that Ms Chew will contribute much more to the growth of Tritech in coming years.

The team helps in monitoring closely, not to make DTL1 C905, hazardous to the nearby race circuit.

Professor Du Xiuli, dean of the School of Construction, Beijing University of Technologies, has visited Tritech Group Limited, together with his colleague, Professor Yao Aijun, Dr Gong Qiuming for the purpose of joint development of e-monitoring system which could be applied in China market. They have spent few days in Singapore to visit Tritech offices and relevant project sites.  Professor Du has highly appraised Tritech’s expertise and products in remote e-monitoring system.

Tritech Engineering & Testing (Singapore ) Pte Ltd, one of the wholly-owned subsidies of Tritech Group Limited, has been granted by SPING Singapore for the development of a new type of RO membrane. This project will lead to the development of a series of products, Super lower pressure Polymer and Nano Compounded (SPNC) RO Membrane, which could make the total energy consumption be very much less.

Based on the demanding of water consumption, it is expected to generate US$ 95 billion over next 10 years, which means a total of $48 billion new capacity of water industries with US$30 billion capital expenditure and US$18 billion operation expenditure. The series of products of SPNC RO membrane will be able to share this huge market due to its outstanding performance and low cost of energy consumption. The development of the products can strengthen the leading position of Singapore water industry in the world, especially in the area of water treatment and desalination.

Tritech Participation in Singapore International Water Week 2009

The second Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) held at Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre on 22 - 26 June 2009 showcased the latest and widest range of products, services in water technologies.

Tritech Engineering & Testing (Singapore) Pte Ltd has collaborated with Spring Singapore exhibiting its Small to Medium size Sea Water Desalination System that able to produce fresh water from 1m3 to 500 m3 per day. Another Tritech Group Limited subsidiary, SysEng (S) Pte Ltd also displayed its successful application in Singapore on their deployment in Environmental Real-Time Remote Monitoring technologies.

Tritech Engineering & Testing (Singapore ) Pte Ltd has been testing the newly developed solar (and/ or diesel) powered small to medium scale desalinator (SPD) with production capacity of 20m3/d since Nov 2008. The target of this research is to develop energy saving and environment-friendly desalinators to meet the huge demand in an emerging market catering for industrial and residential usage, for example, the factories around coast area and people who live in villages to medium size towns over the world or on islands, off-shore platforms. This project is sponsored by SPRING Singapore .

The test has been carried in our office with original seawater and moved to a test bedding at Tuas provided by PUB and NEA. The solar power has been successfully used for desalination of seawater by our SPD on site.

On February 4, 2009, Tritech Group Limited held the annual company dinner at Orchard Hotel Grand Ballroom. It was a very enjoyable evening for everyone who was there and many went home with many great prizes won by staff from various subsidiary company of Tritech Group Limited. There were plenty of good food and drinks served throughout the evening.

There are about 230 guests and staff who attended the event. The evening started with a speech by Dr Jeffrey Wang, Managing Director of Tritech Group Limited. Staff presented lovely and cheerful performances during the course of Dinner and Dance. The guests and staff all enjoyed the fun-filled great evening.

Tritech Engineering & Testing (Singapore ) Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Tritech Group Limited, is Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Registered Contractor - CR12 (Soil Investigation & Stabilization). Grade Upgrade Application to L5 has been approved. The company can now bid for tenders worth up to S$15 million.

On November 2008, Dr. Jeffrey Wang, Managing Director of Tritech Group Limited, was invited by the Faculty of Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS), to serve on the Civil Engineering Departmental Consultative Committee from year 2009 to end of year 2010.

The Consultative Committee’s objectives are to foster closer relationship and cooperation with private and public sector institutions and to provide a mechanism for exchange of views relating to long term planning and development of the Department in both teaching and research.

On 21 Nov 2008, Tritech has entered into a non-binding memorandum of understanding (“MOU”) with the National University of Singapore (NUS), whereby the parties agreed, inter alia, to:-

1.     collaborate in research in the areas of engineering, environment, water and material science; and

2.     co-operate in promoting commercialization of technologies in the areas of engineering, environment, water and material science.

The signing ceremony was held at Suntec City Convention centre, as one of theduring the  It is expected that the signed MOU will bring Tritech and NUS a much closer relationship for the commercialization of technologies.

The Business Times featured the project of  Feasibility study on Underground Rock Cavern Usage

On 18 Nov 2008, The Business Times featured the project of JTC for Feasibility Study on Underground Rock Cavern Usage  in Singapore . Engaged by JTC, Tritech Consultants Pte Ltd  has been a lead consultant in a Consortium with two Norwegian Companies, SINTEF and MULTICONSULT, conducted this study to explore the possibility of utilizing underground rock caverns for industrial purposes.

Dr Cai Jungang, executive director of Tritech Group Limited, is a well known specialist in Rock Engineering  in Singapore . For the purpose of expanding the business in emerging demand related to rock, Tritech Consultants Pte Ltd  has formed a specialist division, Rock Engineering Division, located at 2nd floor of Tritech Building to cater for the rock related business.

Tritech Group Limited has appointed Mr. Chua Eng Pu as Chief Representative in Malaysia for the business expansion. Mr. Chua is an active businessman in Malaysia with a wide range of connections to government sectors, developers and other business partners. We believe with his continuous effort, experience and contacts, Tritech Group Limited shall be making business expansion more efficiently and cost effectively.

The appointment is effective from 2 October 2008 and 31 September 2010.

"Tritech wins cavern feasibility study tender" - Business Times, August 26, 2008

- Beats two geological engineering specialist groups Goostock and Amberg & TTI Engineering to clinch the $1.77 million study award from JTC Corporation.

- Tritech will have to study possible economic uses for Singapore 's underground rock caverns (URC) and explore URC use in other countries to examine the technical and operational feasibility of such uses here.

- Engineering services have so far contributed 61% of Tritech's revenue, and the company has also been involved in the MRT Circle and Downtown lines as well as the Jurong Rock Cavern.

Tritech Group of Companies held its Annual Dinner for Year 2008 at Hilton Hotel Singapore to celebrate the achievement of Tritech Group of Companies in Year 2007. More than 200 people including directors, staff, guests, shareholders attended the dinner. Dr Jeffrey Wang addressed at the dinner on behalf of the Board of Directors of Tritech. During dinner, Tritech staff presented a fashion show on stage to show the different faces of engineers in the company. More than 50% of Tritech staff won lucky draws with prizes contributed by Companies, Directors and guests. The Annual Dinner was very successful and all staff enjoyed the relaxed event which is held once a year.

Tritech Engineering Tritech Engineering & Testing ( Singapore ) Pte Ltd was awarded the second time a winner (ranking 26) of 2007 Enterprise 50 Award,  an event jointly organized by Accenture and The Business Times, and sponsored by OCBC Bank.

This is the second time for Tritech Engineering & Testing ( Singapore ) Pte Ltd won this award. Many honored guests from NUS, NTU, LTA, DSTA etc. attended the Gala Dinner of E50. Mr. Lim Swee Say, Minister, Prime Minister’s Office, addressed in the event and encouraged all Singapore enterprises move faster to face the international change. Dr Jeffrey Wang, on behalf of the Company, went on stage to receive the award and congratulations from Mr. Lim Swee Say, the honored guests, and the attended staff.

Tritech Engineering & Testing (S) Pte Ltd was awarded by Bachy Soletanche Singapore Pte Ltd and then Lian Beng Construction (1988) Pte Ltd with contract of Site Investigation and Installation & Monitoring of Instruments for the Proposed Marina Bay Sands IR - Hotel Package. (Phase 1 & 2) on 11 December 2006 and September 2007, respectively.

Tritech Engineering & Testing (S) Pte Ltd was awarded by JTC with a 3.0 million contract “Geological Investigation at West of Jurong Island” on 23 August 2007. The purpose of the geological investigation is to provide geological & hydrogeological information for potential construction of oil/gas storage rock caverns under sea bed. This is the fourth times for Tritech as a specialist contractor to conduct geological investigation into 200m deep rock strata for underground oil/gas storage rock cavern construction in Singapore .

Effectively immediately, Wisescan Engineering Services Pte Ltd is no longer an associated company of Tritech Group of Companies. The board of directors of Tritech International Holdings Pte Ltd believed that this will make Tritech Group of Companies be more focused on its specialized fields without affecting the total quality of our services to our valued clients.

Our Managing director, Dr Jeffrey Wang, was nominated by the Department of Civil Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering to attend NUS President's Dialogue Lunch with Faculty of Engineering alumni.

Every year, eminent and active alumni from the faculty are invited to this lunch. It is a social gathering specially organised by NUS President Professor Shih Choon Fong to meet alumni to reconnect and interact with the members.

It provides an opportunity for alumni to keep in touch with recent developments and activities in the University, and for the University to obtain feedback and suggestions for its plans and progress.

Tritech Engineering & Testing (Singapore) Pte Ltd Contract 8242 for Supply, Installation, Maintenance and Monitoring of Instrumentation Equipments for Contract 856 by Land Transport Authority (LTA). Contract 8242 is the first direct instrumentation contract from LTA – after match of Nicholl Highway Incident. Contract 856 is the construction of MRT Circle Line Stage 5, including 5 stations and 6m tunnel from West Coast to Harbor Front.

Tritech Engineering & Testing (Singapore ) Pte Ltd was appointed to provide training for geotechnical instrumentation & monitoring technicians by Construction Industry Training Institute of Building and Construction Authority (BCA).

Dr Cai Jun Gang, Executive Director of Tritech Engineering & Testing (S) Pte Ltd, represented ISRM National Group of Singapore to bid for co-organizing the ISRM Congress 2011 (International Society of Rock mechanics), together with China National Group, in Brno, Czech Republic. China and Singapore won the bidding and will co-organize ISRM Congress 2011 in Beijing . Dr Cai Jun Gang will represent Singapore as Organizing Committee Member.

Dr Cai Jun Gang, Executive Director of Tritech Engineering & Testing (S) Pte Ltd, was appointed as Member and Honorary Secretary of Organizing Committee of ISRM International Symposium 2006 and 4th Asian Rock Mechanics Symposium (ARMS-4).

Dr Lim Ken Chai, Executive Director of Tritech Consultants Pte Ltd, was nominated to represent Singapore to attend the Prestigious International Young Geotechnical Engineer Conference, IYGEC 2005 in Osaka, Japan.
