Singapore, 29 September 2020 – Tritech Group Limited (“Tritech” or the “Company” and, together with its subsidiaries, the “Group”), a leading engineering and water-related and environmental group, is pleased to announce that the Group has ventured on its journey of digital transformation by developing a Big Data and Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) platform for both engineering and water-related and environmental business, i.e. ADAS.

Globalization, demographic shifts, data explosion, technologies disruption, climate change, redefined jobs and complexity are the trends shaping the futures of organisations. Enterprises across the continents are looking to invest in digital technologies as the key enabler to drive new business propositions and user experiences, and deliver on significantly enhanced offerings1. The outbreak of COVID-19 has significantly accelerated digital transformation in businesses and organisations with many having to launch digital initiatives in a short span of time.

Over the years since 2014, the Group has been venturing into research and development projects that involve key digital technologies. This has laid a strong foundation for the Group and enabled the Group to undertake a seamless digital transformation process during the outbreak of COVID-19.

The Group has developed ADAS which is a 4-D analysis software package which is able to digitalize the Group’s both engineering and water-related and environmental businesses, minimise manpower requirements and is expected to improve the Group’s profit margins for these businesses. It is a knowledge management and decision support platform through a consolidation of in-house technologies to further enhance efficiency and productivity. It also enables the Group to extend services of group companies to customers beyond Singapore.

Leveraging on Big Data Analytics (“BDA”) and cloud computing technologies, the Group has also developed a Tunnelling and Excavation Web-based Monitoring System (“TEMS”) which is an advanced programming concept that aids project management, data collection, data analytics and monitoring of projects. TEMS has been deployed in various tunnelling projects related to the construction of the Mass Rapid Transit (“MRT”) in Singapore. Notably, TEMS won the Minister’s Innovation Award (Merit Award) in 2015, which was launched by the Ministry of Transport. Other initiatives include waterways and dam real-time monitoring systems, ground movement and soil stress simulation software (Geotechnical Finite Element Software) and BDA in the areas of water and environment monitoring.

Furthermore, AI and machine learning (“ML”) are poised to play an increasing role in the construction space, with their ability to exploit data and turn it into tangible value perfectly suited to the industry. Construction companies can use AI and ML to analyse information on stock levels, schedules and even project-specific data such as weather or other disruptions, making them better-informed and able to avoid future mistakes or issues encountered in previous projects. The Group has adopted in-house developed construction technologies which include automation technology that can reduce manpower and manual operations, mitigating the impact of COVID-19 on the business. Growing complexity in the construction industry will require efficient and seamless integration of architectural and engineering design tools. The experience that the Group has acquired with BDA technologies put the Group in good stead for the Group’s expedition into the digital realm of the construction space.

As shown in Figure 1, from financial years ended 31 March (FY) 2014 to FY2020, the Group’s accumulated contract values for digital related projects for engineering or water-related and environmental businesses increased from S$4.1 million to S$38.2 million.

Digital technology in the post-COVID-19 era will become the lifeline for most businesses irrespective of their size or industry sector. The Singapore Government (the “Government”) has committed to build a vibrant info-communications and media ecosystem locally. The Government has also proposed a suite of recommendations to guide the implementation of the three strategic priorities and four enablers under the Digital Economy Framework for Action in May 2018. This will bode well for the Group’s digital business by tapping on the favourable policies.

Singapore, 18th September 2020 – Tritech Group Limited (“Tritech” or the “Company” and, together with its subsidiaries, the “Group”), a leading water & environmental group, is pleased to announce that the Group has made its maiden foray into the sanitiser and disinfectant industry with its newly developed proprietary product, VaVie™ Clean Wash Sanitize (“CWS”). This new product is created by leveraging on the Group’s well-established water and membrane technology and expertise. Produced with purified water and food grade materials by using electrical ionization technology, VavieTM CWS is an environment friendly, odourless, colourless, and alcohol-free cleaning solution with high alkalinity. Notably, this proprietary product has been tested effective by Microchem Laboratory, USA in killing >99.99996% of bacteria and ≥ 99.90% of human coronaviruses after 15 seconds. CWS has been also proven to have strong antibacterial properties and superior cleaning capabilities in addition to its high efficacy in eliminating human coronaviruses which sets it apart from other products available in the market. In addition to killing bacteria and human coronavirus, it can be used to remove stubborn oil and dirt stains, sterilise surfaces and for washing fruit/vegetables, being a one-stop cleaning solution for households. Besides, Vavie Strong Alkaline Cleaning Water (now known as CWS) has been included in National Environment Agency’s Interim List of Household Products/Cleaning Products Effective Against Coronavirus. Batch production has started and this product is expected to contribute revenue in this financial year ending 31 March 2021. AWARD OF S$23.0 MILLION CONSULTANCY CONTRACT BY THE LAND TRANSPORT AUTHORITY The Board of Directors (“Directors”) of Tritech Group Limited (the “Company” and together with its subsidiaries, the “Group”) wishes to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Tritech Consultants Pte Ltd (“Tritech Consultants”), had on 10 June 2020, been awarded a S$23.0 million contract, titled “Contract J1011B Qualified Person (Supervision) (“QPS”) Services for Jurong Region Line (Phase 1) (Package B – Contracts J103, J105 & J106)” (the “Contract”) by the Land Transport Authority (“LTA”). Contract J103 is for the design and construction of elevated Hong Kah Station (JS4) and Corporation Station (JS5) and approximately 3km of elevated MRT Viaduct. Contract J105 is for the design and construction of elevated Jurong West Station (JS6), elevated Bahar Junction Station (JS7) and MRT Viaduct route length of approximately 1.15km. Contract J106 is for the design and construction of Boon Lay Station (JS8), elevated MRT Viaduct and a new linkway structure. Contract J1011B is for the appointment of Consultant(s) for the provision of QPS, including Specialist Supervision Team for construction, supervision and review services for Contract J103, J105 and J106. The Contract is expected to commence on 13 July 2020 and the QPS services are expected to be completed on 30 March 2026 for Contract J103, J105 and J106 (“Estimated Completion Date”). The defects liability period for Contract J103, J105 and J106 is 18 months from the Estimated Completion Date. In relation to the acceptance of this Contract, Tritech Consultants will provide to LTA the required security deposit and performance guarantee by the Company within the stipulated timeline by LTA. None of the Directors (other than in their respective capacities as a director and/or shareholder of the Company) or substantial shareholders of the Company (in so far as the Directors of the Company are aware) or their respective associates, have any interest, direct or indirect, in the Contract. The Contract is not expected to have a material impact on the consolidated earnings per share and net tangible assets per share of the Group for the current financial year ending 31 March 2021.

It is a continuation of Soil investigation Works for DTSS Phase 2 – Stage 1A project which was undertaken in October 2014 and completed in October 2015.

Tritech Consultants Pte Ltd (“Tritech Consultants”), had won the inaugural QPS Safety Award from the Land Transport Authority (“LTA”). The award is announced and presented in the 15th Annual Safety Award Convention (ASAC 2013) held in University Cultural Centre Hall on 04 Sep 2013. This is the first time for LTA to have safety award to QPS in recognition of their proactive contribution to the workplace safety and health in road and MRT construction sites. In all the LTA’s on-going projects a total of 4 QPS project teams won the awards, of which 3 awards are presented to Tritech. They are QPS teams for Contract 921, Contract 929 and Contract 1686, respectively.

Tritech Consultants has been appointed by the LTA to provide Qualified Person (Supervision) services, through the endorsement, supervision and inspection of all civil, geotechnical and structural works (the “Works”) under MRT Contract 921, Contract 929 and Contract 1686, and ensuring that the Works are carried out according to the relevant statutory and contractual requirements.

Both parties will jointly secure, implement and develop water treatment plant and waste water treatment plant. In this collaboration, Tritech will focus on Engineering –Procurement –Construction (EPC) works and Watertech plays a role of project management for Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (“BOOT”) and Build-Operate-Transfer (“BOT”).

The PUB CCTV contract is an OPEX model where we design, build, operate and maintain on behalf of PUB 24x7. PUB buys the information from us while we provide the technology, infra-structure, hardware, software and support team.

India’s Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has awarded Tritech Engineering & Testing has been appointed , under the World Bank funded River Ganges Improvement Contract, to:

 
1.) Provide a Real Time Machine-to-Machine (“M2M”) Water Quality Monitoring System, based on the Group’s Water Quality Monitoring proven solutions deployed in many sites in Singapore, to monitor the water pollution levels along India’s River Ganges; and
 

2.) Supply, install and maintain all sensors, equipments, wire-less M2M communication, Central Monitoring Data Concentrator system and software to collect, process and analyze real time data from the Remote Water Quality Monitoring Stations for 5 years.

SysEng (S) Pte Ltd has just been awarded by the National Water Agency PUB to install 55 Closed-Circuit TeleVision (CCTV) at flood prone areas Singapore, mostly in the central, eastern and western parts of the island. This is an urgent implementation to quickly respond to flash floods during intense storms and expected to complete December this year.

Building and Constructions Authority (BCA) awarded Tritech Consultants Pte Ltd the "BCA CONSTRUCTION PRODUCTIVITY AWARD - projects (CPA - Projects) GOLD" during BCA Awards 2011.

Last 19 May 2011, more than 2,000 professionals and practitioners from the construction industry celebrated their achievements and contributions to the built environment at their biggest gathering ever at the Resort World Sentosa. To complement the national drive for productivity, BCA introduced the new Construction Productivity Award (CPA) to recognise outstanding firms and industry practitioners for going the extra mile to achieve productivity improvements at the firm and project levels. The objective is to encourage employers and employees alike to take ownership and strive for improvements in productivity.

Land Transportation Authority (LTA) commended Tritech Engineering and Testings Pte Ltd for completion of CIrcle Line Stage 5 - Contract 8242.

Tritech under the capable leadership of Dr Cai Jun Gang, has led and performed well in C8242. Tritech was proactive in managing C8242 and has been able to employ adequate resources to undertake task required from them.

Tritech Group Limited has hold its annual dinner 2011 at Grand Ball Room of Marriott Hotel. There were more than 200 peoples attended the event.

The organization committee of this event has made it a very remarkable and wonderful night. The Board has given five guest a contribution awards for their long-term support to Tritech. Staffs who has been working for Tritech for more than five years also received their long services awards. The performance by our staff and guest during the gathering has made the whole event be very hot. Obviously the staff and the guest has enjoyed the show and dinner.

Mr. Jiang and the other delegates has visited our R&D project in NUS for membrane production.

4 to 7 Nov 2010

The Board of Tritech Group Limited, represented by Non-executive Chairman Prof K Y Yong, Managing Director Dr Jeffrey Wang, independent Director Mr. Lim Yue Hua, Mr. Aw Eng Hai visited the government of Jiaonan, Qingdao, China from 4th to 7th of November 2011. During the visit, the Party Secretary Mr Wan and the Mayor, Mr. Jiang have officially welcomed our visit. They appraised our work done so far in relation to our investment in Jiaonan, Qingdao and indicated their long term support to us. The local Media has reported the details of our visit. (see photo below)

Dr Jeffrey Wang presented a gift to the government of Jiaonan, Qingdao, China on behalf of the Board of Tritech Group Limited, for the purpose of appreciation of the support received from the local government to us .

We are pleased to announce that Er. Chow Weng Cheong has joined us as Technical Director and PE under Civil & Structure Division of Tritech Consultants Pte Ltd.

Er. Chow Weng Cheong will be responsible for the design and execution of professional engineering works. Er. Chow has more than 30 years of experience in the planning, design and project management of infrastructure works and was the Senior Principal Engineer with the Housing & Development Board, Singapore Public Housing Authority. Prior to joining the Group, Er. Chow had worked for an international consultancy firm overseeing the implementation of PUB's Marina Reservoir Scheme.

Er. Chow holds a Master of Science (Construction) in 1977 from the University of Singapore and has been a registered Professional Engineer in Singapore since 1980. He is a Senior Member of the Institution of Engineers, Singapore, a Member of the Institution Civil Engineer (UK) and Chartered Civil Engineer (UK). He has been awarded the Long Service Medal by the President of the Republic of Singapore in recognition of his contributions to the public housing development.

We welcome Er Chow as part of Tritech family and believe he will contribute to the success of the company.

Tritech (Qingdao) membrane industry Co. Ltd. Ground Breaking Ceremony

On 17 June 2010, Tritech (Qingdao) membrane industry Co. Ltd, a wholly owned subsidy of Tritech Group Limited, has held its ground breaking ceremony This indicates that the commencement of the construction of the factory in Qingdao Jiaonan, China.

The local government officers including Mayors, and honored guests from Chengdu, Jinan, Beijing have attended the ceremony. They have wished Tritech a big success in this investment.

In addition, the article highlights the company's focus on public sector projects and mentions last week's water quality monitoring and services contract, as well as the recent warrants issue and last year's share placement for development of the water business as part of Tritech's longer term diversification plans.

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Huang Mingzhi has joined us as Director and Head of Survey Division of Tritech Engineering and Testing Pte Ltd.


Dr Huang Mingzhi graduated at Tongji University and Wuhan Technical University of Surveying and Mapping in China, majoring Land Surveying and Geographical Information Systems (GIS). Currently, he is a member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS, UK), a member of the Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers (SISV), and also a Registered Surveyor of Singapore.
 

Since 1996, he had worked under two companies of Land Surveying, as senior surveyor, and Singapore Power Ltd, as project manager of Gas Mapping System developed for PowerGas Ltd. He founded Nanyang Surveying and Systems since 2006, supplying survey services especially Automatic Trainway Monitoring Systems (ATMS) in Singapore. Until joining Tritech Engineering & Testing (Singapore) Pte Ltd, he has successfully engaged in 6 ATMS projects consisting 12 set of automated total stations, in addition to other land survey projects.
 

We believe that Dr. Mingzhi will contribute much more to the growth of Tritech in coming years.

 We are pleased to announce that Ms Chew Saw Tin has joined us as the Associate of Civil and Structural Division of Tritech Consultants Pte Ltd.

 Ms Chew is a Professional Engineer (Civil), who has over 20 years of working experiences in the construction industry and a full skill of design, construction supervision, project management and contract administration. She has managed various kinds of local and overseas projects including major civil infrastructural works, high-rise buildings, wharves and jetties, etc. She is a Specialist in Coast Engineering.

 We believe that Ms Chew will contribute much more to the growth of Tritech in coming years.

Professor Du Xiuli, dean of the School of Construction, Beijing University of Technologies, has visited Tritech Group Limited, together with his colleague, Professor Yao Aijun, Dr Gong Qiuming for the purpose of joint development of e-monitoring system which could be applied in China market. They have spent few days in Singapore to visit Tritech offices and relevant project sites.  Professor Du has highly appraised Tritech’s expertise and products in remote e-monitoring system.

Tritech Engineering & Testing (Singapore ) Pte Ltd, one of the wholly-owned subsidies of Tritech Group Limited, has been granted by SPING Singapore for the development of a new type of RO membrane. This project will lead to the development of a series of products, Super lower pressure Polymer and Nano Compounded (SPNC) RO Membrane, which could make the total energy consumption be very much less.

 

Based on the demanding of water consumption, it is expected to generate US$ 95 billion over next 10 years, which means a total of $48 billion new capacity of water industries with US$30 billion capital expenditure and US$18 billion operation expenditure. The series of products of SPNC RO membrane will be able to share this huge market due to its outstanding performance and low cost of energy consumption. The development of the products can strengthen the leading position of Singapore water industry in the world, especially in the area of water treatment and desalination.

Tritech Participation in Singapore International Water Week 2009

 

The second Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) held at Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre on 22 - 26 June 2009 showcased the latest and widest range of products, services in water technologies.

 

Tritech Engineering & Testing (Singapore) Pte Ltd has collaborated with Spring Singapore exhibiting its Small to Medium size Sea Water Desalination System that able to produce fresh water from 1m3 to 500 m3 per day. Another Tritech Group Limited subsidiary, SysEng (S) Pte Ltd also displayed its successful application in Singapore on their deployment in Environmental Real-Time Remote Monitoring technologies.

Tritech Engineering & Testing (Singapore ) Pte Ltd has been testing the newly developed solar (and/ or diesel) powered small to medium scale desalinator (SPD) with production capacity of 20m3/d since Nov 2008. The target of this research is to develop energy saving and environment-friendly desalinators to meet the huge demand in an emerging market catering for industrial and residential usage, for example, the factories around coast area and people who live in villages to medium size towns over the world or on islands, off-shore platforms. This project is sponsored by SPRING Singapore .

 

The test has been carried in our office with original seawater and moved to a test bedding at Tuas provided by PUB and NEA. The solar power has been successfully used for desalination of seawater by our SPD on site.

On February 4, 2009, Tritech Group Limited held the annual company dinner at Orchard Hotel Grand Ballroom. It was a very enjoyable evening for everyone who was there and many went home with many great prizes won by staff from various subsidiary company of Tritech Group Limited. There were plenty of good food and drinks served throughout the evening.

 

There are about 230 guests and staff who attended the event. The evening started with a speech by Dr Jeffrey Wang, Managing Director of Tritech Group Limited. Staff presented lovely and cheerful performances during the course of Dinner and Dance. The guests and staff all enjoyed the fun-filled great evening.

Tritech Engineering & Testing (Singapore ) Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Tritech Group Limited, is Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Registered Contractor - CR12 (Soil Investigation & Stabilization). Grade Upgrade Application to L5 has been approved. The company can now bid for tenders worth up to S$15 million.

On November 2008, Dr. Jeffrey Wang, Managing Director of Tritech Group Limited, was invited by the Faculty of Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS), to serve on the Civil Engineering Departmental Consultative Committee from year 2009 to end of year 2010.

 

The Consultative Committee’s objectives are to foster closer relationship and cooperation with private and public sector institutions and to provide a mechanism for exchange of views relating to long term planning and development of the Department in both teaching and research.
